About this event: Join a live panel discussion for an open, engaging conversation about building a better relationship between an OT and OTA. A short presentation will be provided followed by an open discussion with a panel of OT and OTA practitioners about a variety of topics including tips on building a collaborative relationship, regulations around Supervision of OTAs, the differences in OT and OTA educational programs, the role of OTAs, and an OTAs opportunities for advancement in non-traditional settings specialty areas/certifications.

Objectives:

  1. Understand ways to build and improve a collaborative supportive relationship between an OT and OTA.
  2. Provide interactive feedback from OTAs and OTs about experiences of OT/OTA relationships.  
  3. Learn ways an OTA can contribute to the field of Occupational Therapy. 
  4. Review the regulations of OTA Supervision and an OTAs role.
