Here we would briefly outline expectations regarding the use of the forum.

We would also outline some basic instructions about how to use the forum (i.e. how to post a new topic, how moderation works).

We can also include a link to a recording that demonstrates how to use the forum here in addition to written instructions.

      EXAMPLE INTRO TEXT:

Welcome to the Academia Community of Practice (CoP) forum. We use this virtual space to connect, share resources, ask questions, and provide general support to other practitioners/educators who are navigating the complex world of academia in occupational therapy.

Please respond to this topic to introduce yourself to your co-participants.

If you’re in need of inspiration, sharing your name, OT/OTA program, role, and initial reason for joining is a great place to start!

We look forward to learning and connecting with you over the coming months.

        EXAMPLE REPLY:

My name is Jane Doe, and I’m a fieldwork coordinator at XXXX.

I’m hoping to connect with peers as this is my first year in the role.
