Presenter: Krista Belding, SOTA: Roane State Community College



About the Presenter:
Krista Belding will be a 2018 graduate of the OTA program at Roane State Community College.  She lives in Kingston, TN and developed an interest in OT when she decided to make a career change and searched for one that best matched her personality. She has an interest in traumatic brain injury rehabilitation and home health care. Krista enjoys a wide array of activities including volleyball, singing, kayaking, and acting.
                                    
Topic: “Evidence Based Practice: What is it, why OT practitioners should employ it, and how to determine if current treatment or protocols are evidence based.”

Come join us during our monthly meeting to learn more about how to use evidence based practice in the clinic setting and clarifying if current treatment protocols are evidence based.

After this presentation, participants will be able to:
1. Explain why utilizing evidence based practice is necessary for current OT practitioners.
2. Find reliable articles to research EBPs.
3. Identify at least 3 current EBPs used by OT practitioners.
