A Primitive Look at Reflexes Part 2: Testing and InterventionsHosted by the TNOTA Rural West DistrictSaturday, April 26 at 10:00 am Central TimeAbout This Course: A Primitive Look at Reflexes Part 2: Testing and Interventions is a follow up to the first course “A Primitive Look at Reflexes” that provided foundational information about primitive reflexes. In this workshop, participants will be taught how to test for primitive reflexes and then have the opportunity to practice those techniques in a safe environment. During this time, participants will also learn how and what to watch for and document. Finally, we will identify and practice functional activities that address primitive reflexes that can be done at home, school, or in the clinic. *There is no prerequisite to this course. Course Objectives: Through participation in this CE event, attendees will complete the following:
Presenter: Sandra Dicks, OTR/L is a graduate of Tennessee State University and an accomplished occupational therapist. She has recently joined the Therapy and Learning Center where she is using her expertise to help her patients recover and improve their well-being. Sandra has been actively involved in the Tennessee Occupational Therapy Association (TNOTA) as a representative, serving in various roles including secretary for Rural West for 10 years and Student Rep for her school for 2 years. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Sandra is a dedicated mother to a daughter with special needs and serves on the Families Support Local Council.
