Description:
Are you a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) looking for a flexible position where you can make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families? GERIHAB/KIDZHAB is growing, and we have multiple opportunities available!
We are looking for a COTA who is interested in working with:
Adults with developmental disabilities
- Provide OT services in individuals’ homes
- Work with adults in an adult day program
- Help individuals develop greater independence and participation in daily activities
Children with developmental disabilities
- Provide pediatric occupational therapy services through telehealth
- Serve children and families throughout Tennessee
- Receive training and ongoing supervision from an occupational therapist with 35 years of experience
This position can be tailored to your interests and availability.
You may choose to work:
- Pediatric only
- Adult only
- A combination of adult and pediatric services
We have multiple needs in the Jackson area, so there is flexibility to create a schedule that works for you.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST – Mid South Rehab Services

Qualifications for an Occupational Therapist:

Assistant Professor - Department of Occupational Therapy - UT Chattanooga
The University of Tennessee-Chattanooga – Chattanooga, TN
Description:
The Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) seeks a full-time 9-month, tenure track faculty member in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) Program. Within this role, opportunities exist for maintaining some clinical practice.
Effective Date: August 1, 2026 or later depending upon availability of the selected candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Teach and advise students within the OTD Program
- Engage in research with regular scholarly dissemination
- Engage in department, college, university service and/or professional service
- Contribute to OT Department outcome assessment, OTD Program accreditation activities, curriculum and other continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Engage in ongoing professional development in andragogy and clinical occupational therapist skills as related to teaching assignments
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Terminal academic degree (e.g., PhD, EdD)
- Occupational Therapy degree
- Tennessee licensed or eligible
- American Occupational Therapy Association member
- 3+ years full-time clinical experience
- Expertise for lead teaching of
- research methodologies and evidenced-based practice
- additional program content areas related to clinical expertise
- additional program content areas related to evolving curricular need(s)
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in lead teaching at the doctoral level
- Experience in research with peer-reviewed product dissemination
- Service and leadership in the occupational therapy profession
- Orthopedic clinical expertise with Certified Hand Therapist (CMT), Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT), or other specialty certification
- Clinical experience in multiple healthcare settings (e.g., outpatient, acute care, home health, skilled nursing, inpatient rehab)
- Clinical experience with management of patients with significant multi-system involvement
