Gigi's Playhouse

Gigi's Playhouse was created to change the way the world views a Down syndrome diagnosis and send a global message of acceptance for all. We understand that many families are first time parents and they need us. Many young parents do not expect, or know in advance of their child’s diagnosis, and they need renewed hope and genuine acceptance from day one. At GiGi’s Playhouse families are never alone. From a prenatal diagnosis to career skills, we make a lifetime commitment to remain by their side. Families are empowered with all the tools their child needs to succeed!

GiGi's Playhouse Nashville opened in November 2013, GiGi’s Playhouse Nashville is proud to become the 16th Playhouse worldwide. GiGi's Playhouse Nashville provides free programs that are educational and therapeutic in nature to individuals with Down syndrome from birth through adulthood, their families and the community.

Rein-Bow Riding Academy

Rein-Bow Riding Academy is a place of promise, where individuals with varying abilities receive innovative therapy while riding a horse. The term hippotherapy comes from the Greek word hippos, meaning horse; thus the term literally means treatment with the help of a horse. During a hippotherapy session, a specially trained therapist uses the horse as a therapeutic tool to achieve the client's therapy goals. Therapeutic riding is another form of therapy that allows patients to increase their emotional and social well being with the goal of the rider controlling the horse on his or her own. Since most insurance does not cover Hippotherapy, much fundraising and compassionate giving go into making this program successful. The people of West Tennessee believe in our Rein-Bow Riding Academy and its impact on lives. We are blessed to have secured enough funding to offset the cost of each rider’s participation in the program this year.

Travis Mills Foundation

The Travis Mills Foundation supports post 9/11 recalibrated veterans and their families through long-term programs that help these heroic men and women overcome physical obstacles, strengthen their families, and provide well-deserved rest and relaxation. We support these veterans through our nationally recognized retreat located in the Belgrade Lakes Region of Maine. Veteran families who have been injured in active duty or as a result of their service to our nation receive an all-inclusive, all-expenses paid, barrier-free vacation in Maine where they participate in adaptive activities, bond with other veteran families, and enjoy much-needed rest and relaxation in Maine’s outdoors. The goal would be to send a Tennessee Veteran to this program.
