Title: Fine Motor Fun Using the Fine Motor Olympics
 
Brief description of presentation: This presentation will introduce the Fine Motor Olympics (FMO) program as a pediatric intervention tool for occupational therapy practitioners. The presentation will entail information regarding fine motor skills, activities from the program that facilitate to refine fine motor skills, and description of importance for fine motor skills during early childhood development. Participants will engage in various activities of Fine Motor Olympics with active hands on learning experience. 
 
Learning Objectives: 
  1. Understanding how fine motor skills are a foundation necessary for hand manipulation.
  2. Identification of intervention activities for fine motor development.
  3. Identify fun and easy fine motor activities to implement with minimal resources.
Speaker Name: Kat Chinander
 
Bio: Kat is from Columbia, Tennessee and developed an interest in occupational therapy through her college campus advocacy. She will complete the occupational therapy assistant program in 2020 and has an interest in pediatrics and outpatient. Kat loves to sing and play guitar and spends most of her free time outdoors.
