About the Presenter:
Nancy Oberg is currently a senior therapist at the Therapy and Learning Center in Jackson, TN, where she has worked for 18 years.  She has been certified by the NDT Association since 2000.  Nancy is certified to administer and interpret the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test, certified as an Infant Massage Instructor, Board Certified as a Pediatric Clinical Specialist and credentialed as a Clinical Instructor by APTA.   Nancy is a published clinician for the Pediatric Physical Therapy Journal. She is well known as a neonatal specialist and has presented regionally over 20 courses and topic areas.

We are delighted to have refreshments provided by Hanger Orthotics, Jackson TN from 5:30-6.

After this presentation, participants will be able to:
  • Define key components of postural control
  • Describe anticipatory and compensatory postural adjustments and their significance to posture and movement
  • Explain/describe how variability in postural control can enhance function
  • Demonstrate positioning strategies that optimize postural control elements related to function
